Tentative Schedule of Events

More details will be added to the schedule closer to OCMC once final decisions have been made regarding panels and paper sessions. The current schedule not likely to experience many major changes.

Friday, September 30th

This year, the OCMC will be providing two skills workshops for registered conference participants. Agent-Based Modeling in NetLogo and Data Visualization in R. Both workshops require the use of computers to work along with the instructors. No prior familiarity with either software is assumed. Drinks and snacks will be provided to participants.

The NetLogo workshop will be run by PhD students Arthur Hjorth and Bryan Head from Uri Wilensky’s Center for Connected Learning and Computer-Based Modeling. Participants will get a chance to play with the new NetLogo 6.0, including its brand new multi-level agent-based modeling tool, LevelSpace.
